A Syrian visual artist born in 1980, she works in a world where narrative and matter naturally intertwine. Her inspiration stems from a lineage of women who have preserved traditional skills: from her grandmother, a creator of intricately patterned baskets using natural pigments, to her mother, a carpet weaver with floral motifs, and her sister, an expert in embroidery. This heritage, combined with the influence of her father, a writer, has forged a multidisciplinary practice (painting, ceramics, collage, and installation) that aims to be a contemporary extension of ancestral stories and the mountainous topography of her native region in Syria.

The year 2026 marks a major turning point in his international career with the entry of his works into prestigious American institutions:

  • Brooklyn Museum (New York) : Acquisition of an artist's book for its permanent collection, following its participation in the New York Antiquarian Book Fair .

  • University of Virginia (UVA) : Acquisition of a work for its library at the California Book Fair in February 2026.

His works are now part of renowned institutional collections:

  • United States : Brooklyn Museum, University of Virginia Library (UVA), University of Chicago Library.

  • France : Clermont Auvergne Métropole.

  • Syria : Ministry of Culture.

It is also present in numerous private collections in France, the United States, Germany, Sweden and Lebanon.

Residencies and International Experience: Her artistic approach has been enriched through research residencies in Europe, including:

  • Italy (2024): "Art Camp" residency at Temple University in Rome.

  • Switzerland (2023): Residency at Château Mercier (Villa Ruffieux) in Sierre.

  • France : National School of Decorative Arts of Paris (ENSAD), Higher School of Art of Annecy and Clermont-Ferrand.

Alongside her artistic practice, she has been involved in artistic education since 2005. In France, she has led projects within prestigious institutions such as the ENSAD (the "Echoes of Memory" and "Imprint" projects). Drawing on her experience working with populations in emergency situations in Syria, she is convinced of the power of art as a tool for reconstruction, resistance, and the healing of collective memory.
